About DITEX
Our Story
In May of 2009, our first meeting was held at the Panera Bread in Lone Tree, a suburb of Denver. This initial group, called “The Art of Networking”, was formed by Art Weeast for professionals in transition. From the onset, smaller, more intimate groups were a core value. These original groups centered around the sales, marketing, IT, HR, and engineering domains. Among these, technology is the only subgroup that survives. We now know this as DITEX (Denver IT Executives).
Denver Information Technology Executives (DITEX) is a 500+ person and growing networking group of technology leaders in the Denver metro and Rocky Mountain area.
Our Mission
The mission of the Denver IT Executives Focus Group (DITEX) is to support a select group of transitioning information technology professionals who have previously served as Directors, Vice-Presidents, CIOs, or similar level of scope of responsibilities to obtain their next position in a like role. Each member’s mission is to help every other group member graduate from the group by supporting them in finding and landing a new Technology Leadership role.
How is DITEX Organized
- Active Group – is made up of a small group of individuals currently in a job transition and seeking their next opportunity.
- Alumni – is made up of individuals who were originally admitted into the Active Group and have landed a new opportunity but continue to help and support the Active Group in finding new opportunities.
- Friends of DITEX – This group is made up of individuals who have helped active group members land jobs or support the organization’s broader mission by hosting weekly meetings or sponsoring social events.

Membership
We are a group of technology executives in job transition who have previously served as Directors, Vice-Presidents, CIOs, or similar levels of scope and responsibilities. Our sole focus is helping each other transition to the next opportunity under a “pay-it-forward” principle. We subscribe to working in a spirit of “Co-Opetition” (Collaborative Competition).
Expectations
Participate in weekly meetings and a Slack workspace. Share job leads and networking opportunities. Multiple active members may be considered for the same role, and lessons learned from interviews, research, and network intelligence are openly shared.
